There’s a moment every November when the air shifts. The to-do lists get louder, inboxes get busier, and yet—somewhere inside—you feel the pull to slow down. That instinct isn’t laziness. It’s wisdom.

The Case for Resetting

Most of us treat rest like a reward for surviving the chaos. But what if it’s actually a strategy? When you pause before the rush, you create space for perspective. You can hear what your business has been whispering all year: the clients who drain you, the systems that stress you out, the creative ideas you shelved because you were “too busy.”

A reset doesn’t mean quitting. It means pruning. It’s the space between harvest and planting—where clarity grows. For me, that often looks like clearing my desk, reviewing my calendar, and asking: What truly needs my energy this season?

How to Reset Intentionally

  1. Clear the noise. Turn off notifications for an hour and look at your week with fresh eyes.
  2. Name the essentials. Choose three priorities—no more.
  3. Let something go. A project, a commitment, or even a thought pattern that no longer fits.

 

Small resets like these restore creativity. They make space for gratitude, innovation, and joy—all things that get lost when we run on fumes.

Faith in the Quiet

I’ve learned that silence is where strategy begins. In that stillness, God often whispers the next right step. You can’t hear that guidance if you’re sprinting through every minute. So breathe. Step back. The world won’t fall apart if you take a day to regroup—it might just fall into place.
